The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
Before we dive in, if you’re a regular listener of the podcast, you may have noticed we didn’t release an episode last Friday. That’s because we’re switching things up! I know you love the short, to-the-point Just One Thing episodes, so those will now be airing on Tuesdays as the main show. No more Friday episodes for now, but don’t worry—you can still get your weekly fix of Just One Thing by subscribing to my free newsletter, Weekly Jumpstart. I send out two issues a week, including one on Fridays with a quick, actionable tip. Sign up at weeklyjumpstart.com or check the link in the show notes.
Ever woken up feeling like the Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz—creaky, stiff, and in desperate need of oil? You’re not alone. Many women in midlife find that stiffness is creeping in more than ever before. But why does this happen, and more importantly, what can you do about it? Let’s break it down into three key reasons and simple solutions to help you move better and feel better every day.
As estrogen levels decline in midlife, inflammation increases, which affects the quality of your synovial joint fluid. This fluid acts like a lubricant for your joints, keeping them moving smoothly. When its integrity decreases, you start feeling more stiffness and discomfort.
If you’re not regularly moving through a full range of motion, your muscles can become less flexible over time. This leads to stiffness, discomfort, and an increased risk of injury.
As we age, our body produces less collagen and elastin—key proteins that keep our connective tissue (fascia) supple. Estrogen plays a role in their production, so its decline can lead to stiffness. Additionally, dehydration can make fascia feel tight and restricted.
No matter what’s causing your stiffness, the best thing you can do is keep moving. Regular movement helps lubricate your joints, increase muscle flexibility, and improve fascial health. So get up, stretch, hydrate, and move your body—you’ll feel the difference!
